Every year the South Lake Junior Woman's Club provides deserving young students in the South Lake area with a scholarship to College to further their educational career. If you know a deserving young student or are one apply today.

SCHOLARSHIP REQUIREMENTS
It is the GFWC South Lake Junior Woman’s Club to promote and encourage continued education in the community by awarding (at a minimum) 1 Student applicant up to $500 or an unspecified number of student applicants a year with up to a $500 scholarship each, based on the funds raised throughout the year.

Complete the scholarship application included in packet.

Applicant must be a South Lake County Resident.

This scholarship requires you to provide a resume, answer all essay questions, 2 letters of recommendation (teacher and/or community leader), and submit 1 teacher recommendation form.

This scholarship requires you to volunteer with SLJWC during at least ONE shift at our designated mandatory fundraiser for that year. Contact Scholarship Chair at email - sljwcscholarship@gmail.com to get additional details and on the schedule.
Recipient must be accepted as a full-time student at an accredited junior college, community college, college, or university, in Florida. Scholarship funds will be released to a school after the SLJWC receives a letter of acceptance from an accredited school and the recipient notifies the Chairperson in writing of their intent to enroll in the upcoming Fall/Spring semester.
Funds for the recipient will be mailed directly to the school Financial Aid Office with the instructions that they are to be used for expenses processed through their office for the recipient. If the scholarship recipient decides to attend another school, they must immediately notify the SLJWC Scholarship Chairperson so the funds may be transferred.
